AI Needs Women. Women Need AI Confidence. This Global Program Delivers Both.

AI Foundations for Women

Through a groundbreaking global initiative, Empressa AI, The WIT Network, and The Geena Davis Institute are equipping women worldwide with the skills and confidence to lead responsibly in the age of artificial intelligence.

MIAMI, FL (October 22, 2025) — AI is already deciding who gets hired, treated, and promoted, yet women remain missing from the teams designing these systems. This imbalance deepens bias and weakens innovation on a global scale. The World Economic Forum reports that by 2030, 80 percent of jobs will require some degree of AI literacy. Women currently hold only 22 percent of roles in the field, according to LinkedIn’s latest data.

The Gender Gap in AI

The urgency behind this mission is clear. AI is transforming every part of business, yet gender parity remains 123 years away, according to the United Nations. Women continue to be underrepresented in technology and leadership, earning an average of 77 cents for every dollar earned by men. As AI becomes the foundation of the modern economy, this moment represents more than a skills revolution. It is a chance for women to lead in shaping the systems that will define the future of work.

To change that trajectory, Empressa AI and The WIT Network, in collaboration with The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, have launched AI Foundations for Women. This global, live, no-code learning experience builds women’s confidence, competence, and leadership in artificial intelligence.

The initiative positions AI fluency as a leadership skill rather than a technical one, giving organizations a tangible way to reduce bias, build trust, and future-proof their workforce around ethical and inclusive innovation. The goal is to equip 2,500 women worldwide with the skills and confidence to lead boldly in the era of AI.

A Global Movement for Women in Tech

Scheduled for November 7, 2025, AI Foundations for Women will be delivered live in four major time zones: the Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Australia. The three-hour, facilitator-led program offers practical, hands-on instruction tailored to how women learn and lead, with no technical background required. Additional sessions are scheduled for January 23, 2026, and March 27, 2026.

Since announcing the initiative, more than 250 women leaders have signed up to become certified facilitators and lead live sessions, with major employers already sponsoring participants to join.

For just $199, participants unlock an $862 learning bundle that delivers both immediate and lasting value. The package includes a one-year membership with The WIT Network for continued education, mentorship, and community, a one-year subscription to the Empressa AI platform that offers a safe space for women to learn, experiment, and grow with AI, and an industry-recognized AI Foundations Certificate. Participants also contribute to The Geena Davis Institute’s Representation in AI Index Report, helping advance global insights into how women are shaping and being shaped by artificial intelligence. Group rates and sponsorships are available for companies investing in women’s AI literacy and leadership development.

“AI doesn’t just need more women; it needs women’s wisdom,” said Miri Rodriguez, CEO and co-founder of Empressa AI. A global storyteller, technologist, and award-winning author who has led creative and innovation programs at Microsoft, Rodriguez co-founded Empressa to make AI equitable and accessible for women. “Through Empressa, we’re creating a trusted space where women can connect, experiment, and lead with confidence in the AI era. The AI Foundations for Women program is more than training. It is the launch of a living ecosystem where women can safely learn, grow, and shape the technology that shapes them.”

Christine Bongard, CEO of The WIT Network, brings more than two decades of leadership in advancing women in technology through one of the world’s largest professional communities for women in tech and their allies. She added, “Closing the gender gap in AI isn’t a checkbox for diversity. It is a cornerstone for building technology that truly serves humanity. When women shape the future of AI, we unlock innovation that reflects the full spectrum of human experience. That is why The WIT Network is proud to join forces with Empressa on this global initiative, because inclusive tech starts with inclusive training.”

Madeline Di Nonno, President and CEO of The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, leads the world’s preeminent research organization focused on representation in global entertainment and media. Under her leadership, the Institute’s data-driven advocacy has reshaped how women and girls are portrayed on-screen and beyond. “Representation matters, not just for characters on-screen but especially for those who are crafting the stories that we see and consume,” Di Nonno said. “AI with women creators means technology that sees us.”

Many AI upskilling programs are inaccessible to women because they are overly technical, expensive, or exclusive. AI Foundations for Women bridges that gap through an inclusive, no-code approach designed to meet women where they are. Built by women for women, the program combines accessibility with impact, enabling participants to master core AI concepts, data literacy, productivity tools, and responsible AI ethics. Each element is designed to increase confidence, close the skills gap, and expand representation in technology’s most transformative field.

Organizations and individuals can partner with Empressa by sponsoring seats or scholarships that fund access for women worldwide, helping companies demonstrate a real commitment to inclusion while sparking a global movement toward equity in the future of work.
